PROJEKTOR is a social program that initiates meetings between the students with children from/in small towns. Our students-volunteers hold educational workshops in elementary schools, the topics of which center around civic activism in a broad sense. During the workshops, volunteers develop the sense of agency and civic responsability in schoolschildren. The Program Projektor supports small towns and villages in equalizing educational opportunities. This project is founded by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
PROJEKTOR brings together active students, open-minded and commited teachers, elementary school students and experts in innovative education.
The idea of this program is to utilise the intelectual potential and activity of academic youth. In our activities we focus on developing civic engagement and building relationships. We want to inspire in young people a sense of responsibility and openness to what is new. Volunteers in PROJECTOR are students of various majors, from different universities throughout the whole country.
The PROJECTOR Program establishes cooperation between educational institutions and students. Our volunteers and teachers receive reliable knowledge and support from the Program at every stage of project implementation.
The main Project to which we invite students and teachers is Workshops with PROJECTOR. During which we focus on civic activism. We develop the topic mainly in the areas of protecting our planet, media awareness and personal happiness, i.e. the well-being of an individual in relation to other people.
The program encourages students to develop their abilities through the promotion of positive role models and the awakening of interests, while among students it shapes a sense of social responsibility and solidarity, while enabling them to pursue their passions and interests in an attractive formula.
Participation in the projects is free of charge, thanks to the selfless commitment of the students who care about the education and comprehensive development of their younger colleagues.
The program has been in operation since 2005. In 18 years, we have involved more than 14,900 students in social activities and prepared them to work with children. They have carried out more than 30,000 educational projects in 2127 schools, with the participation of more than 400,000 schoolchildren.
The Program was initiated in 2003 by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
Since 2017, the Program has been implemented by the Educational Enterprise Foundation.
